This is our baby boy Antonio June, 28 1914 : I First expected that there would be a war when Germany and France fought in 1870-1872 war which created tension, But today the Black Hand from Serbia killed the archduke from Austria-Hungry. I fear this will be the breaking point.
July 29 1914 : Today Austria Hungry declared war on serbia.
August 8 1914 : Within the last week it seems like the whole world has broke out into war Russia against Austria Hungry , Germany against Russia, France and England against Germany. Its first world war!
August 10 1914: Italy has remained neutral so far ,but I fear it's not going to last long because of our alliance with Germany and Austria Hungry.
September 12 1914: The terms of the tripple Alliance says Italy has to support Germany and Austria Hungry but I don't think thats going to stop us.
December 25 1914: I will start to write more when I am called into duty but until then I'm going to enjoy this night and this year because it might be the last I spend with my family.
April 26 1915: Today it has been rumored that Italy was promised land. The Secret Treaty of London is what every one has been calling it. Although this is exposed to be a secret still the news is bussing around italy but nothing has been confirmed nor has it been denied though.
May 24 1915: Italy has officially traded sides and we are no longer apart of the Tripple Alliance! Im not exactly sure why we changed sides but there has been some rumors that there's some land in it for us ,but I think its just because they're doing much better in this war than the Tripple Alliance ever did or would have. The words of mussolini are still ringing in my ears! "We want war! Today it’s war, tomorrow will be revolution!"
Part of us didn't even want the war ,but the other part did and unfortunately they got what they wanted because the king and the head of his council wanted it !
June 30 1915: I've been away from my family for over a year now ,and I can't stand not waking up to my beautiful wife and Son who will be turning 12 on July 4th
July 4 1915: Today is my Son Antonio's Birthday I wish him the happiest day ,and I am devastated that I can't be there with him to celebrate it.
December 21 1915 : Today is our anniversary my wife and I. I love and miss her so much.
January 27 1916: today the Conscription was introduced in Britain. The Conscription is a law that states that you have to serve your country in the military for a certain period of time. Although people who objected to bear arms were freed from military services.
July 4 1916: I'm finding less time every day to write ,but I do want to wish you Antonio a happy 13th Birthday before I go out to battle.
September 5 1916: My name is ANTONIO: I Received this package in the mail about a week ago from the italian air force/army I was in high Spirits thinking this was a Birthday present but sadly it wasn't any thing ,but a death notice from my father. About 2 days ago a friend of my Dads came over and talked to us about serving with my dad in the air force. His name is Johnny Erickson he was my fathers best friend.
October 5 1916: Today I have decided to keep this journal going From Father To Son. My mom hasn't stopped crying and I'm just realizing my Father is dead although I know my mother needs me I can't stay in this house any more I will be enlisting into the army by this time tomorrow. I will be taking nothing but this journal and a picture of my dad.
November 10 1916: I have been training to be a pilot and starting January 1st I will be starting in the war I hope my mom's doing alright!
February 1 1917: Today Germany started a campaign call the UNRESTRICTED U-BOAT WARFARE.
April 6 1917: Today the USA has officially joined the war by declaring war on Germany. I have a feeling this war isn't going to last to much longer.
December 5 1917: Today we found our that Russia Has exited the war. Germany and Russia signed an agreement allowing it.
January 1 1918: Although I have no regrets am beginning to miss my family.
March 18 1918: I've been in the hospital for a month now and will be leaving tomorrow with my health and my girl friend Emilia.
August 18 1918: Today is Emilia and my 6th month together things are getting serious even though I'm only 15 I feel like she could be the one. She has saved my life in more than one way.
October 29 1918: Today Germanys Navy Mutinied I have a feeling this war isn't going to last much longer. I can't wait until I can return to my home with Emilia.
October 30 1918: Today Turkey made peace. The war is Finally Starting to end
November 3 1918: Austria Made peace
November 11 1918: Today the war is Officially over Germany signed an armistice with the allies!
January 4 1919: There was a Peace conference in Paris today and all went well
June 28 1919: The Treaty of Versailles was signed by the Germans today The war Is Over along with this journal.
